Why I Do What I Do

Hi, my name is Jaroslav and I would love to be your teacher and guide as you dive into one of the most fascinating and relevant topic of today - the topic of leadership.

As I was part of exclusive private programmes, workshops and coaching sessions and saw the impact developing leadership skills can make on people’s ability to deal with challenging situations and achieve success in their lives, I kept thinking at the back of my mind - how could this exclusive knowledge be available to as many people as possible?

In my view the traditional leadership development model is broken. Most knowledge is carefully guarded and highly expensive, most programmes do not deliver what people need when they need it. Most leadership training is generic and lacks true personalisation. But most importantly, most people who find themselves in situations where they desperately need practical and relevant leadership skills, do not have access to them.

So at some point I realised that much more is needed to bring the leadership knowhow to as many people as possible. I do what I do because I believe in the power of leadership to create a better future, while also appreciating how difficult it is to lead.

My hats off to anyone who steps into a leadership role, whether in a formal or informal setting, professional or personal capacity. I hope the resources, courses and leadership development programmes I create can help to make the journey of leadership easier for you and bring your success closer.

My Background

During the last 20+ years in leadership development and learning, I have listened to, supported and developed thousands of leaders in all sectors of society. From business leaders in global and local organisations, to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. From people working in impact-driven NGOs and social enterprises, to consultants and coaches who serve their clients every day. Everyone different yet underneath, surprisingly similar.

Here are some things I have done over the years that helped me to learn, practice or teach leadership:

  • I was a competitive swimmer for 8 years, swimming 3 hours a day on most days.

  • I won a scholarship at the age of 16 to study one year at a top private high school in the US.

  • I completed 2 master degrees during my university studies in international commerce and management.

  • I spent 6 years working in AIESEC, 4 years as a volunteer and 2 years in national and global leadership roles.

  • I coached over 100 people through HSBC’s Next Generation Development Programme, one of the most innovative and impactful leadership programmes I have been part of.

  • I was part of a global faculty on one of the largest culture change programme in the world, impacting close to 200,000 people globally.

  • I was trained to be a futurist during Singularity University Global Solutions programme, a 10-week full-time deep dive into exponential technologies, entrepreneurship and innovation.

  • I trained and certified over 1,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, consultants and coaches in the concept of Exponential Organizations and its application in innovation.

  • I trained 200+ Accenture partners in the concept of Exponential Organizations for use with their clients

  • I have designed and delivered over 10,000 hours of workshops, trainings, leadership development programmes and coaching sessions.

  • I have lived in 6 countries, travelled to 50 and worked with people from more than 100 countries and cultures.

My experiences give me unique outlook on the world and deep understanding of human and cultural dynamics in any professional or personal situation. I make all I have learned available through free content, courses, leadership development programmes and 1-1 coaching support.
